| The Rock On is new for 2008 from Flying Wings. Flying Wings has had some of the best beginner kites on the market on the Rock On definitely carries on the tradition.
This new introduction is probably one of the best yet. New fliers are bound to crash, it comes with learning to fly. Now instead of having to walk to the kite and set it back up after a crash, the Rock On has solved that problem for you so there will be no more Walk of Shame. Because of the innovative roll framing this will easily be prevented now.
The only thing we didn't care for with the Rock On is the line that was supplied with the kite. So we have decided to upgrade this kite to the Dyneema Line Set with straps. With the Beetles, also made by Flying Wings, you are given the option if you'd prefer to purchase the Beetle with the plastic handles and twisted polyester line or the Dyneema line set and straps. From day one we have never carried the Beetle with the twisted polyester line and handles and I wish Flying Wings would have provided the same option for the Rock Ons. But since they didn't, we are upgrading to the Dyneema Line Set with Straps. We are just continuing what we've always felt strongly about, someone learning to fly with the least amount of frustration involved.
The Rock On will come with 100% Dyneema Line, Winder & Flying Straps. We DO NOT sell the Rock Ons with the low end Twisted Polyester Line and Plastic Handles, the handles are not easy to use and the line stretches a lot. We teach people how to fly, it is what we do, and we want to make it easy for them to learn and we want to make it easy for you also.
